Common Tongue is a multimedia show combining electronic and classical music, spoken word, dance and digital visuals. The Indian classical art forms of tabla and kathak are remixed and made contemporary, in a series of songs told by lead artists from India and the UK. Art forms weave, clash and converse to ask these questions, in a show which will appeal both to those excited by bass lines, electronica and hip hop, and a generation raised on the purism and discipline of the Indian classical arts.
